Teaching of local region (SO ORP Třeboň) with using 3A methodology

The topic of this diploma thesis is the creation of didactic case studies and its application in the 9th grade at the Sokolská primary school in Třeboň. In the introductory part, the author introduces the reader to the geographical characteristics of the local region (SO ORP Třeboňsko), also tries to outline how much space is devoted to the local region in curricular documents (framework curriculum, school curriculum and thematic school plans) and textbooks used in primary schools and will briefly introduce the 3A methodology, which has become an important starting point for the processing of this qualification work. In the second, analytical part, the author tries to create a didactic case study on the topic of the local region. This didactic case study will first be applied in 9.B. and then with partial adjustments that should lead to an increase in teaching, also in 9.A.
Multimedia tool for teaching Year 5 through to Year 9 of primary schoola about the local Votice region

The Master´s thesis examins the creation of a multimedia tool for teaching Year 5 through to Year 9 of primary schoola about the local Votice region. The local region should be an integral part of contemporary education as well as modern technology. This thesis combines boths of these topics and gives a theoretical-methodological basis for a concept of region, teachinng aids and their modern forms in education. It further explores the geographic characteristics of the Votice municipality, the methodology of creating multimedia tools for teaching about the local Votice region and concludes by presenting the teaching aid itself. Activation teaching of geography focused on interdisciplinary relationships between history and geography

Diploma thesis deals with activating teaching at lower secondary schools. The main goal is creation of teaching materials which are possible to use in distance teaching and include interdisciplinary relations between history and geography. They should also contain the regional topics. All lessons are applied at primary school in Stachy as part of a continuous internship. The work also contains an analysis of geography and history textbooks. Evaluation of these learning texts is focused on their use in distance learning. Summary of pros and cons is shown by SWOT analysis. In theoretical part there is analysis of activation teaching methods. There is analysed also the impact of online education during the Covid-19 pandemic. The teaching materials themselves are embedded in curricular documents, i.e. in the FEP and SEP.
Regionální výchova a výuka místního regionu na 1. stupni ZŠ (na příkladu ORP Pelhřimov)

This diploma thesis deals with regional education and teaching local region at elementary school. The theoretical part is also focused on the situation of regional education and teaching local region at elementary school and their inclusion into curricular documents. The thesis also includes geographical characteristics of Municipality with Extended Competence Pelhřimov. The practical part of the thesis is formed by teaching material, which is the main aim of the thesis. It consists of documentation of four school trips and includes introduction activities, which take place at school and their aim is to touch the topic in advance. The educational materials are intended for teachers and pupils of the 4th and 5th grade of elementary school. The practical part is made consistently with Framework Education Programme for Elementary Education.
Usage of interdisciplinary relations of geography and historiography in teaching of the local region (using Jáchymov as an example)

Bakalářská práce se věnuje mezipředmětovým vztahům mezi zeměpisem a dějepisem ve výuce místního regionu na 2. stupni základních škol a na gymnáziích. Cílem práce je analýza výuky místního regionu a využívání mezipředmětových vazeb vyučujícími na školách v zájmovém regionu Jáchymovska. Dílčím cílem je dále vytvořit materiál, který by mohl být využit v rámci výuky místního regionu pro učitele na Jáchymovsku. Výsledkem analýzy je, že většina učitelů na Jáchymovsku místní region učí, ale vyčleňují mu méně času, než je celorepublikový průměr. Někteří vyučující mezipředmětové vazby využívají, ale spolupráci kolegů učitelů by bylo rozhodně potřeba dále rozvíjet. Většina dotazovaných učitelů se v hodinách též zabývá dějinami regionu. Nově vzniklý pracovní list by měl být využitelný pro učitele na Jáchymovsku i v celém Česku. Tourist Attraction in Teaching of Geography at Primary School: Case Study Kolín

Sixtová, M. (2011): Tourist attractions in teaching of geography at primary school: case study Kolín. Department of Social Geography and Regional Development, Charles University in Prague. The presented bachelor thesis is concerned with teaching local region issues. The theoretical approach is provided by examination of literature related to tourism and by analysis of curricular documents of state and school level. In the next part of the thesis, there are presented selected tourist attractions whose inclusion into teaching geography was monitored at primary schools in Kolín. At these schools, there was realized questionnaire survey among pupils as well as among teachers of geography. These teachers also participated in controlled interview which deals with a concept of teaching local region issues. On the basis of gained knowledge, there was devised school geography project, which is focused on application of tourist attractions into teaching local region issues.
Výuka místního regionu z pohledu migrace obyvatel - příklad aplikace mezipředmětových vazeb a klíčových kompetencí žáků na základní škole

The diploma thesis deals with teaching students of the lower secondary school about the topics of the local region and the migration of the population. The diploma thesis characterizes four specific methods and forms for teaching the local region from the point of view of migration. The methods are based on cross-subject relations and key competences of the students. Afterwards, the thesis is evaluated the process and the fulfilment of the objectives of the application of two teaching topics in geography lessons at the lower secondary school Vodňany in March 2019. Activation methods such as work with the map, walking in the vicinity, field lessons, etc. are often used for teaching the local region. One of the goals was also student´s active approach to geography lessons in creating their own learning activities. Part of the thesis is also an analysis of the results of a questionnaire survey focused on teaching the local region and migration from the perspective of teachers of geography and the knowledge of students about these topics. The results are favourable for the purpose of the thesis. Teachers link the topics of the local region and migration, it demonstrates that the proposed learning activities can use in the practice. Students have shown relatively good knowledge of the local region and during learning activities were able to use knowledge. In the introduction of the thesis is elaborated the theoretical part of the thesis, which is related to the themes of geography didactics, interdisciplinary relations, FEP BE, key competences, forms and methods of teaching.

The theme of this diploma thesis is GPS devices in teaching as a means of developing inter-subject relations between educational fields of Geography and English language at the 2nd stage of elementary school (on the example of ORP Chotěboř). Presented work consists of theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part includes the methodology of creating both parts, where the author introduces the whole process of making her work. The first part contains the theoretical background, where the author briefly introduces the basic concepts; the chapter focus on GPS devices, their potential use in teaching and the possibilities for inter-subject relations. The integral part of the theoretical part, especially for its thematic setting, is the study of curriculum documents. The practical part of this work contains educational activities that connecting curriculum of the local region, ie. geography, with English language. All presented educational activities consist of the introductory part and a methodical commentary.
Regional Education and the Local Region Taught at the First level of Primary School (based on the example of SO ORP Horažďovice)

The diploma thesis deals with the problems of regional education and local region taught at the first level of primary school. It consists of two parts. The theoretical part explains the importance of local region taught and places it among the curriculum. This part concerns the geographical characteristics of the region SO ORP Horažďovice too. The following practical part is composed of educational materials focused on the local region. It is set of suggestions of education aimed at 4th and 5th class of primary school with worksheets. The practical part applies the knowledge of the theoretical part. The educational materials are in conformity with the Framework Educational Programme for Elementary Education.
Geographical fieldwork: transmissive and constructivist approach to fieldwork in the Hvozdnice region

The thesis compares the constructivistic with transmissive geography tuition approach on Hvozdnice region model. The teoretical part defines field work, the didactic learning theories and focuses on closer description and comparison the constructivistic with transmissive pedagogical approach. The practical part brings a complete geographical characteristics of the specified area and subsequently SWOT analysis which provided crucial issues and generalization of the proposed field work worksheets. The proposed worksheets of the work field which deal with exploring of the local region are created in two variants- constructivistic and transmissive. Although there was no change in the thematic focus of the worksheets, there is the obvious difference between realization and achieving the objectives which is based on philosophy of each of the selected models of learning.
